Световые дорожки появляются вследствие отражения света от поверхности воды, взволнованной ветром. Свет виден вдоль линии пересечения поверхности воды с вертикальной плоскостью, проходящей через наш глаз и источник света.
A seemingly trivial, yet interesting effect of the sunlight reflecting off a water surface with ripple waves on it, creating a light path on the water from the horizon down to the observer. If the waves are not directly perpendicular to the line sun-observer, the glitter path will appear slanted to one side. The glitter path is most beautiful and clear if the water is almost still and the sun is about 5 degrees above the horizon. Large waves will spread out the glitter path over such a large angle that it becomes less noticeable.
